Swedish manufacturer Husqvarna helped accelerate the adoption of robotic mowing in golf with the launch of its CEORA system in 2022. Following the installation of its first pilot systems that spring, CEORA robotic mowers have since been deployed at approximately 30 golf courses.
The companies most often associated with professional and golf-scale robotic mowing include Husqvarna Group, Bosch, Belrobotics, AL-KO and John Deere. Together they supply systems for residential lawns, commercial landscapes, sports fields and, increasingly, golf courses.
Most of this equipment was designed first for lawns and parks. Fairway width, reel-quality cutting, slopes, bunkers and golfers still create a different engineering problem — which is why Foxbridge is exploring golf-specific robotics.
Mordor Intelligence estimates the Europe robotic lawn mower market at USD 635.8 million in 2026, up from USD 592.43 million in 2025, and projects it will reach USD 905.62 million by 2031 — a compound annual growth rate of 7.32%.

Residential use still accounts for most of the market. Commercial deployments — including landscaping companies, sports fields and golf courses — are growing faster as clubs look for consistent turf quality and labour-efficient mowing.
Husqvarna, Bosch, Belrobotics, AL-KO and John Deere are among the industry leaders identified in that analysis. Foxbridge is watching this market closely while building a place in Ontario to research, test and develop robotic mowing for real golf-course fairways.
