Most robotic mowing technology has been developed primarily for residential, commercial and general landscape applications. Golf courses present a completely different engineering challenge.
Fairway width, turf height, mowing patterns, slopes, bunkers, ponds, golfers, golf carts, maintenance schedules and the need for precision turf management all create unique requirements. A robot that follows a boundary wire around a house lawn is not designed for reel-quality fairway presentation.
Foxbridge believes there is an opportunity to develop robotic mowing technology specifically for golf-course fairways — technology designed around the real-world needs of superintendents, maintenance teams and golfers.
That work needs people who understand both machines and turf: robotics engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, software and AI specialists, and golf-course professionals. It also needs a place to fail safely and iterate. Foxbridge is that place.
