A Better Golfer Experience

The introduction of robotic mowers does not necessarily mean a negative experience for golfers. A European survey found that approximately 90% of responding golfers expressed positive or neutral feelings about sharing the course with robotic mowers.

Golfers identified benefits including reduced noise, more consistent turf quality and improved overall playing conditions. Diesel and gasoline fairway units are loud. Frequent, quieter robotic mowing can reduce disruption during play while keeping surfaces closer to the intended height of cut.

Safety and routing still matter. Golfers, carts, bunkers, ponds and maintenance windows all have to be designed into the system. A machine that works in a backyard is not automatically ready to share a fairway with a Saturday morning tee sheet.
